Factory settings OS 46

by Brad
(Casselberry, Fl.)

I have an OS46 engine and would like to know what the factory settings for both the Low and High speed needles are. The engine will start but not continue to run.

Can't use Factory Defaults
by: rcdude07

You need to tune both high and low ends on a nitro engine practically everytime you fly. Altitude, humidity, temperature, etc... atmospheric changes between days of flying will impact nitro performance.

Typically for high end can start by turning it in all the way, then back it out 2.5 to three full turns.

OS Engine Won’t Run Reliably
by: Henry97071

The factory setting for the hispeed needle is a variable. The low speed setting from the factory is generally pretty good. Until your engine runs reliably ai would not touch the low-speed needle. Start by turning your hispeed needle all the way in and then backing it out (counter clockwise) two full turns. Your engine should start and run continuously a little rich. If your engine does not run reliably you probably have tank problems, or line problems. You need to search for a lak in your tank or a cracked fuel line.
