Goldberg Eagle 2

by Chad
(Las Vegas)

I've been flying for over 20 years and this is still my most favorite airplane. I've built 3 over the years and each was a pleasure to build and fly.

The Eagle 2 is so stable and predictable. It's the plane I fly when I just want to relax and have some fun sport flying. I highly recommend it.

As far as the kit or ARF version... while I agree that watching the plane you spent countless hours building bite the dust really sucks, there's no better feeling then when you see your own creation break ground and touch the sky.

Eagle 2

I am on my second Goldberg Eagle 2.The first was an ARF and was the best deal moneywise. The second was from a kit and I still fly it often.I changed the leading edge to a preshaped balsa one and discarded the dowel that was provided in the kit. Both planes flew well.I have over 25 years experience with R/C.

Good trainers and tough birds...bolt the wings on with nylon bolts, use big main wheels and put a crossbar in the main gear to beef it up a bit.I have flown them with 4 different .40 engines.
