Ultra Micro eXtreme Beast

I know what I'm asking Santa for this year. The Ultra Micro eXtreme Beast!
I'm sure you guys have probably seen Hanger 9's 100cc rendition of The Beast
that was released earlier this year. Designed by aerobatic world champion Quique Somenzini, this Giant Scale ARF was modeled after the full-scale Beast flown by world renown pilot Bryan Jenson.
There's no doubt that this 100cc version of the Beast is indeed a fine piece of machinery and a site to see for sure. But if you're like me, you may not have the cash or space for one of these bad boys. Come this fall both you and I can fly a miniature version of the
"Beast" in our own backyards!
The ultra micro series of planes including the:
have really have transformed our hobby over the past year. It's truly amazing to watch these fully proportional four channel birds in action. But the Ultra Micro eXtreme Beast is another game changer.
The most defining difference is the fact that the The ultra micro Beast will have a 180 brushless outrunner motor instead of the canned motors and gearbox combo that we've seen with the previous ultra micros. The Ultra Micro eXtreme Beast utilizes a 2S 7.4V 120mAh 20C Li-Po battery, as opposed to the 1S battery of the previous Ultra Micros Series planes.
So all you guys and gals that complained about the Sukhoi not being able to hover, this plane's got your name all over it! Will the ultra Micro Beast perform just as well as the 100cc version? I guess only time will tell, but it does look promising. If you see any videos of the Ultra Micro eXtreme Beast in action please share them in the comments below.
The airframe itself is a huge step up from the previous Ultra Micro airplanes. The carbon reinforced wings and carbon fiber flying wires makes for a very sturdy airframe. The flying wires are very much to scale. It even comes with optional speed brakes for performing 3D maneuvers in tight spaces.
This is the first in the Ultra Micro Series to have the battery hidden under the cowling under a magnetic hatch. It's also the first to have a clear plastic canopy. And the trim scheme has crazy tiny details that really bring it to life.
Looks like it will be released as a Bind N Fly version, so you can fly it with any DSM2 radio system. It will be equipped with the new Spektrum AR6400LBL Ultra Micro DSM2 Receiver/
Brushless ESC installed. This new ESC even comes with current protection overload to protect the electrical components in the even of a crash.
The built in AR6400LBL servos on the same board control the rudder and elevator. Two independent AS2000K long throw Spektrum servos control the four ailerons.
The Ultra Micro eXtreme Beast comes with A 2S 7.4V 120mAh 20C LiPo battery pack. An optional 180 mAh battery pack is available and will provide longer flights. A DC Celectra 2S LiPo charger with alligator clips comes with the BNF version.
