Trouble with wheel pants

Having a bit of trouble with wheel pants. They seem to be a bit cheep. I put fiberglass and epoxy on th inside and around the bolt area they still cracked around the landing gear arm.

Do they make stronger pants than come with kits or should i just scratch the idea of having them on the plane ,grass runway.

I personally don't have much luck with wheel pants either. I always install the wheel pants, and they always look slick as a whistle. But it seems they never last more than a handful of flights before they are scuffed up or cracked,...

Maybe that says something about my landing abilities, lol.

If you're landing in grass I'd say take them off. From what I've seen smaller models and wheel pants just don't mix well.
