Thank you for this fantastic site. There are others, but your site
has quickly become my "go to" site for questions, general info, etc.
I am a newbee. Just retired and feel like a kid at each new step of learning to
fly. Yes, I can't even fly, and am hooked. Just learning to do turns, so that,
I can get into glide mode to land in the future.
Thanks again,

I'm VERY inpressed!
We're new to the hobby. I've been to other r/c sites, and if you don't know what you're talking about, it can be very daunting trying to find information.
An eBay seller steered me in your direction, and within five minutes I learned LOTS of things that I'd been trying to find answers for. I've now taken those other sites off my "favorites" list and replaced them with yours.
Thank you so much!

You sir have made me cry tears of happiness.
Several years ago I purchased several Build your own radio controlled planes from wing Manufacturer. I was not prepared nor informed of the knowledge that I did not have on how to complete these projects.
Now that I have found you I can restart and begin anew building and flying planes that I always wanted to fly.
Your site is beautifully informative and has links that will help someone like me get the help I need to build properly and complete correctly the items that I have purchased so long ago.
I even went back to building plastic models to learn how to do fine detail work, but with your site I can now study learn and build with expert help. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Hi there Matt !!!
Thank you very much for running this site... One of the first sites I stumbled upon when getting into this hobby and Ive been coming here ever since. I like how I do not need to sign up or any thing, just leave a message or question and wait for anwsers..
Personally I like both, Glow and Electric... As long as it flies I dont care.. I remember as a kid making those rubber band powered balsa kit planes and flying them and that fun from that was unreal...
I didnt get a proper plane till a year ago... i had a few of those tinny planes with 2 tiny motors to power and have directional control and that used to keep me going... then I got to fly a big Glow trainer and man was that fun... came back home and ordered a foamie electric P51 mustang :).. after 4 crashes and 2 complete rebuilds I was able to take her up and bring her down safely...
Now I have a low wing glow trainner (calmato sport)... great plane but yes I have to agree with you about the mess... but thats part of the hobby... with Lipos you need to take alot more care in handling them unless you want a dangerous accident ...
I have a son too... 9 months and take him to our club, luckily for me I have a club 15 minutes from home and can cycle on sundays just to look at the other planes...
I love WW1 and WW2 war birds and Im hoping my wife will buy me one for Christmas :)....
Anyways just wanted to say hey and thank you.

Hello,
I actually just wanted too say - I have actually learned a lot from reading through here. Thanx!
I decided to get into the hobby last year - bought myself just a Blade CX2 RTF heli too start off with because I didn't really have anyone too teach me too fly a plane.
About two weeks ago I at last decided to go and buy a plane since my gf's brother flies and I will be able to join him on their farm every weekend when weather permits.
So I went and, at that stage, got a deal on a hangar 9 Ultra Stick .40 . Decided on that and yes - the weather just hasn't worked along for me to go out with the people from the shop too madain the plane and too learn how to fly. I only have hours of practise on FS One - hope that is going too help me.
The perspective in the sim just seems a bit weird - judging distance etc. So now I'm still waiting and hopefully not too long - I'm really eager too fly.
Regards & thanx for the great site Ulrich Smit
