Sig Riser, Sailplane Kit

Sig Riser 5 min. before maiden flight

This was my first attempt ever and was joy to build. The Sig Riser has simple instructions, detailed full size plans and easily workable components.

Learning the basics of construction as well as the basics of RC are both easy to do with this sailplane, which I completed in 3 weeks.

Probably could have been done quicker, but hey, I'm new! You can see partially completed plane elsewhere on this site.

Best of all, it flew well on first high-start!

Unfortunately I don't have specifications...but the full size plans show the CG to be at the aft edge of the central spar. My plane weighs in at approximatley 38oz., but I am sure your pod will make a difference there. I built and chose to leave mine as designed for hand or high-start launch (which works fine). Instead I have ordered an electric sailplane (Spectra) to make life easier and flights longer. Good to know someone is flying same plane. Thanks.

NEED SOME HELP

I have a Sig just like yours exept for the fact that I have an e-flight electric on an overhead pod. I built the plane over 10 years ago and I have lost the plans. I need weight and balance info as well as center of gravity. Can you help me?
