Robart air retact system

Bought a Top Flite 1/7 scale P51 used off of RC Universe. Comes with air retracts, but do not know how to use them.



I bought a hand pump, and air chuck, but does not seem to want to screw into the threaded connector on the outside of the plane. Can anyone walk me through this operation? Thanks
