RC electric jets are becoming more popular all the time. They are absolutely great for getting a taste of what it feels like to fly an RC jet without dropping thousands of dollars on a turbine engine.
There are two different types of electric RC jets to choose from.
RC pusher jets have one or more propellers mounted on the rear that push the RC airplane through the air.
Ducted fan jets are powered by a propeller inside a tube. The tube can consists of the fuselage itself, or be externally mounted.
Pusher RC Electric Jets
The RC pusher jets below are all RTF models. No need to worry about choosing the correct battery, radio, motor etc. because everything you need comes in the box. This includes the transmitter, battery, and even a charger!
Silverlit Stunt King
Silverlit's Stunt King
is a 3-channel pusher jet made from special Crash-Resistant foam that lets you fly another day after a not so happy landing.
This is a relatively slow and sturdy RC pusher jet that is well suited for the beginner RC jet pilot while offering plenty of excitement.
This RC jet can reach a top speed of 22 mph and can fly up to 15 minutes on a single charge.
The Parkzone F-27C Stryker can flat out move! Thanks to the state of the art LiPo batteries and a brushless motor, this RC jet is capable of speeds upwards of 80 mph! Wow!
Everything is included with this RTF. All you have to do is charge the batteries and fly.
Make sure to check out the Pusher Jet Page for more electric pusher jets and nitro powered push jet along with videos of these guys in action!
Ducted Fan Jets
The ducted fan jets below are also RTF airplanes with the exception of the F22 ARF. The F22 is not RTF, but it does come with the brushless motor driven ducted fans.
It's made from super strong foam that really comes in handy for a learning pilot!
You definetely get your money's worth with this RC electric jet. Everything you need including the batteries and charger for a very reasonable price.
Hobbico's Diabolo Jet Trainer
Hobbico's Diabolo Jet Trainer
is also a great choice when learning to fly RC electric jets. This jet is larger and faster than the A7 Tornado, but remains very slow and docile as far as jets go.
My favorite part about this jet is that you can replace thr single ducted fan module with a dual ducted fan module once your comfortable flying the airplane.
Estes Arial Photo Airplane
This Aerial Photo Jet produced by the Discovery Store is not only fun to fly, but awesome for taking pictures of your home or flying field!
Take up to 26 pictures at elevations of as high as 1000 ft with a click of a button on the transmitter! This is a very cheap way to tinker with aerial photography.
F22 ARF Foam Jet
If you're looking for a fast and affordable RC electric jet, this F22 ARF Foam Jet
is right up your alley!
Although this is an ARF, it does include the fan units with brushless outrunner motors! The radio system, batteries, and speed controllers are not included.
Visit the Ducted Fan Jet Page for more electric ducted fan jets (EDF's) and nitro powered ducted fan jets (GDF's).
