plane has a .40 LA OS engine problems running

Plane takes off and flies great for about 15 min then shuts off in flight. This is my first nitro plane. I cant quite get the tuning right on the low and high ends.

Any tips?

Hello,
I cold not agreen more with Matt.
After you do the pinch test, you'll be looking at 1 to 1,5 turns of the needle valve, and with this setting 15' is a very good time.
Set a timmer for 12' so that you have time enough to prepare for and land.
Happy flying.

Hello,

Fifteen minutes sounds like quite a while. This may be a dumb question, but are you sure you're not running on fumes?

Once the tank gets below the level where the clunk starts sucking air the engine will die. I hate to insult your intelligence, but its worth asking.

I also recommend that you do the pinch test on the high end. This will tell you if it's too rich or too lean.

But if it runs fine for 15 minutes then all the sudden dies, sure sounds like it may be running out of fuel...
