Pitts S12 EP

(Arlington, TX)

This ARF was purchased from "Texas RC Planes" and is one great model. Very well built of plywood and balsa, it has a 35.4" wing span, weighs around 36 to 38 oz. ready to fly and has 390 sq. inches of wing area.

Power is provided by a BP A2812-8 that develops 380 watts with at 3s Lipo and the right prop. My software says she will hover and go vertical until told to stop but, I haven't had the chance to test that yet.

I was able to get one short flight in before the bottom fell out of the clouds for 4 days straight. I'm looking forward to dryer weather and more flights with this beauty.

Can you see Tony T. in the cockpit?

BP A2812-8 Motor
by: Garry

Matt,
It's one of the electric brushless outrunner motors sold by BP Hobbies. Here's the link if you'd like to take a look. http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=V450327&pid=B1858544

I only run electric helis and airplanes.

I can't say enough good about the folks I bought the plane from. "Texas RC Planes" is a small company based in a small town here in southeast Texas and some of the friendliest and most helpful folks you'll ever meet. It's a real pleasure doing business with them ...and it doesn't hurt that their prices are excellent.

Very nice...

Yes, I see Tony!

You should add some Tony the Tiger decals on the side. That would rock!

I am anxious to hear how she does when the skies finally dry up for you.

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a BP A2812-8 motor?
