ParkZone T-28 Trojan

If you're looking for a fun airplane to fly without breaking the bank, you should consider the ParkZone T-28 Trojan.

I actually learned to fly with an Aerobird, and have pretty much flown glow-powered airplanes ever since. I've heard so many good things about ParkZone's T-28 that I decided to try it out.

I am blown away by how powerful this little guy is. This bird has just as much pep as some of my glow powered planes! And MUCH cheaper...

I paid less for this fully ready to fly plane including radio system, motor, ESC, than I have paid for some of my four stroke engines alone!

Don't get me wrong, glow powered planes will always have a special place in my heart, but this plane has changed my entire perspective on electric powered planes. Lipo Batteries and Brushless Motors have totally changed the playing field. Especially now that the "newness" has started to wear off bringing the prices down to earth.

When I picked it up I planned on putting it together that night and flying it the next day. To my surprise, it only took about 15 minutes to assemble. I ended up flying it the same day I picked it up!

You can see the full review here.

If you're new to the hobby and have someone to help you learn, you may want to consider this bird. It comes with everything you need, which is very convenient and cost effective for a beginner.

Although it's extremely stable and easy to fly, please don't attempt to fly one without the help of an experienced pilot!

This is one of the rare RC planes that is fun for all pilots, regardless of experience. I have been flying for years, and I this is now one of my favorites simply because it's hassle free to fly and it performs!

If you get one, consider getting an extra battery. I am glad I did, as it takes a good while to charge these guys with the included balancing charger.

As you can see in the picture, my three year old son also likes! He thinks it's his. I gave him my old Aerobird controller so he thinks he's controlling it. Well, it worked for a few days until he opened the battery compartment and yelled "Daddy, mine's broke, it don't have batteries"... Three year olds are smarter than you think!
