Parkzone Habu EDFParkZone Habu - Extreme Performance - Right out of the box! Are you fascinated with the idea of flying powerful RC jet but are intimidated by the cost, complexity, and skill required? Don't know much about sizing or installing the correct components for an EDF jet? No problem! All of the components of this ParkZone EDF jet are preinstalled and ready to go.
Not only does the ParkZone Habu perform very similar to a high dollar RC turbine powered jet, it is tame enough to be flown by an intermediate pilot. While this is not a beginner's airplane, anyone who can fly an airplane comparable to the ParkZone T-28 will have no problem flying the ParkZone Habu. As you can see from the above video, the ParkZone Habu can do an impressive extended knife-edge as well as precise slow rolls, point rolls, snaps and spins. She can fly extremely fast, in excess of 100 mph! But when it's time to land she floats like a butterfly... If you like to practice touch-n-goes you'll appreciate the tricycle landing gear with the removable servo on the steering wheel. For the best performance and for landing on the grass, the landing gear can be completely removed for hand launching and grass landings. Skid plates are included to protect the airframe during belly landings. The airframe of the Habu is made from Z-foam which is easily repairable with CA glue. The Z-foam used with this plane has a much tighter density which makes it more rigid and has a smoother surface than the type of Z-foam used on other ParkZone planes. The smoother surface creates less friction which makes a big difference to the performance of a high-speed EDF jet. Like all ParkZone planes, the Habu is a breeze to assemble requiring only a screw driver and allen-wrench. You can have her in the air in the time it takes to charge the battery! High End ComponentsThe guys at ParkZone wanted to deliver the "real deal" right out of the box, with no need to upgrade for achieving maximum performance. If you're like me you may have had a bit of sticker shock when you first seen the price of this bad boy. Seeing her in action in the video above makes that price seem a lot more reasonable! When you break down the cost of each component in the ParkZone Habu, you will find that the price is actually pretty good. The cost for the components alone is well above the cost of the entire package including the airframe. See the break down below...
Grand Total for Components Only : $473.59 It may seem like a lot of money at first, but you are making an investment when purchasing a ParkZone Habu BNF. If you happen to crash your Habu beyond repair you will be left with high quality components that can be installed in your next bird. If you're looking for a cheaper more affordable EDF Jet, I suggest taking a look at some of the other EDF jets on the market. But if you are looking for the best performing entry-level jet, the ParkZone Habu is definitely for you. Related Pages:
