I just got a helicopter with a os 52 surpass four stroke engine. Its getting fuel and glow plug is working good. Its firing but jut not starting.

Is there a difference in nitro airplane fuel and nitro helicopter fuel? or what am I doing wrong?

I've never had helicopters before.

Could you tell me what fuel you r using? Is it heli fuel or standard nitro? A friend of mine had a similar prob. But my reconing is that its d fuel. He was using the correct fuel but not a good brand and after a few weeks his engine broke down. When he took the cylinder off it was all wrecked. Swarf in the head and bearings wrecked and useless. All the cylinder scored and ring scored. Maybe it may be as simple as changing the plug. I know O.S. engines use F type plug.

nito engine is a nitro engine... it just might be the way the engine is mounted... did you prime it first? Is fuel getting to the carb?
