Hobbico Nexstar front nose wheel assembly

by Brent Delman
(Shaker Heights, Ohio, USA)

The nose wheel (the front wheel and its arm attachment)is bent.

I can't find the part listed even with the manufacturer (Hobbico for the Nexstar RTF Trainer 68.75 wing span).

Do you have any advice on where to find a replacement. Is this a common problem? All the tri-pod planes have the one wheel in the front.

Looks like the nose comes with HCAA3742
by: Matt

Hi Brent,

It looks like the nose wheel comes with the landing gear set HCAA3742.

I found it here on eBay

Yes, this is a VERY common problem. Especially if you land in grass. That's why a lot of people convert their trainers to tail draggers after they get the hang of flying.

Heck, I even converted my ParkZone T-28 to a tail dragger. Doesn't look scale, but there's no more nose wheel problems!
