Finally got my Christen Eagle ii ready to fly. This biplane has a wing span is 68" and is powered by an OS 1.60FX engine.

I will be using a Futaba radio system. She's hasn't been in the air yet.

If you're not familiar, the full scale Christen Eagle ii is a very popular sport biplane that is available in kit form only. So if you want one, you have to build it yourself!

It's design has been around for a while, since the late 1970's. It was designed to compete with some of the other major aerobatic bipes of its era such as the infamous Pitts Special.

Very Nice!

I hope she flies half as good as she looks!

Beautiful plane. Did you build it from a kit or ARF?

Superb biplane
by: ray

Well made airplane my friend. Was it built from a plan? Or did you find some Christen Eagle plans to build from?

I wish you good luck and my fingers crossed for a safe maiden flight. May the "force" be with you!

First Born
by: John

It is a Great Planes Christen Eagle kit that some fellow started and really never got it together. So I bought the parts from him and completed it.

For all the time I put into it my heart would break if it "augured" it in on the maiden flight. So I'm holding off for a while and using it as "Eye Candy".

It's my first one and...you know, it's hard to let your first born leave home. (Chuckle).
She will fly eventually.

Great looking Eagle II
by: Danny

Great job on building this beauty. I know how you are feeling about the first flight. There are all those fears of the unexpected but I am sure she will do you proud.

Let us hear from you with the good news of your first flight with her.
