Fults front nose gear

I want to change the front nose gear and wheel that comes on most planes, to a fults nose gear. From the pictures, they (the fults) look stronger than that which came with the plane; also, I damaged the one that came with the plane, so it has to be changed. My question is, how difficult is it to make the conversion. The picture/s show the single post as with the original, but longer. Am I getting into a big project? Any thought will be appreciated.
