Real Flying Tanks?

A 'War Bird' in the True Sense of the Word!

The term flying tanks usually makes reference to the failed gliding tank experiments of the 1930's. But I'm talking about tanks that actually fly, and fly well! I'm talking about radio controlled tanks, and yes they are real!

RC Flying Lawnmower

OK.. they may not be actual military tanks... but you wouldn't know it by the facial expressions of those watching as one of these contraptions rises to the air!

I don't know what's more fascinating... Watching an unexpecting bystander witness one of these tanks lift off for the first time, or watching them drop their jaw as one of those flying lawnmowers hit the sky! I think they both equally amusing!

A Breeze to Assemble

These flying tanks are very easy to assemble with a very straight forward design. All you'll need is a couple simple hobby tools and a bottle of glue! A detailed fully illustrated instruction manual shows you exactly what to do through the entire assembly process.

These tanks can easily be assembled over a weekend. You can also spruce it up by applying your own decals to make it match almost any era or military.

Great Flight Characteristics

Believe it or not, these tanks are flown the same way as any other RC airplane. It's as simple as applying the throttle and pulling back on the elevator as you watch this tank rise to the air.

You wouldn't believe how slow this thing can fly, which is perfect for those low passes when you to show off a bit! It also flies like it's on rails when you really ring it out!

It's amazing watching this thing in action as it can perform just about any aerobatic maneuver you can think of. If you have a broadband connection, you gotta check it!

What You will Need

You will need a standard four channel radio system that has elevon or "V-tail" mixing capabilities. The elevon mix programmed in your transmitter will combined your elevator and aileron stick movements to make the elevons on the tank move accordingly.

A 46-61 size two stroke or 53-72 size four stroke glow engine will pull this tank through the air quite nicely!

Turn Some Heads!

Whether we admit it or not, all of us RC Addicts love when our planes get attention! This easy to build, stable yet aerobatic flying tank is guaranteed to put you on center stage no matter where you fly!

If you're a prankster, or like to see people's reaction to the unexpected, you'll love flying tanks!
