Work in progress dedicated to the pilots that fought with her .

I had to start a new project this winter so I decided on my all time favorite WWII fighter the P-47D Thunderbolt.

I grew up during the war and was fascinated by the exploits of the P-47 squadrons in Europe. After looking a all the P-47D Thunderbolt kits available to me I decided that the EMS kit had all I was looking for.

I added Robart retracts for more scale and an OS engine which I have yet to install. Slow work but I really enjoy the building process. When the project is complete I will submit more pics.

Nice P47 Thunderbolt
by: Matt

Wow, that certainly is a beautiful P47 Tunderbolt! The good'ole "Jug", one of the most prominent US fighter birds of the second World War. Jug is short for "Juggernaut". Look up the world Juggernaut and you will understand why's she's called that!

Merriam Webster:: a massive inexorable force, campaign, movement, or object that crushes whatever is in its path.

Rebuplic Aviation's P47 Thunderbolt was the biggest most expensive warbird in history to be powered by a one "non radial" engine. It's huge fifty caliber machine was definitely an unforgettable force that enemy aircraft was forced to deal with during air to air combat.

I look forward to hearing about the maiden. Hope you have some youtube video to share!
