Bridi Dirty Bird

Dirty Bird .60

Dirty Bird .60

Here is a classic Sport Pattern Plane.

This is a Dirty Birdy .60 wood kit.

It is designed for pattern competition, but I like it as a sport plane. Anyone with some basic flying skills can master a plane like this in a few flights.

As you can see I like bright planes as they look so good in the air. It sports a YS .60 FR with a tuned pipe. It weighs around 6 pounds and flies like a dream.

Not a simple plane to build, but well worth the effort.

These are still available and are a blast to fly.

Something different at your field will always get the oooh aaah's.

Enjoy the sport,
Dave

CG help
by: Anonymous

Hi there.
I place the CG at approx 25% of wing chord and move it forwards or aft if needed.

Refer to the plans to see the recommended location before you fly it.

as far as the stripes, it is different colors on the bottom.
I do a black and white stripe system for orientation.
Looks good in the air!
Enjoy the hobby,
Dave

CG location
by: Dave

Cg location varies on your flying preference.
I always start at 25% of wing chord and adjust as desired.
Your plans show a range to use.
If I can help let me know, it is a great plane.

Bottom is covered differently.
I have a picture of the bottom.
Looks great in the air.

Fantastic covering job!
by: Matt

Those stripes are trippy! Is the bottom side covered the same way?

If so, I bet you gotta be on your toes too keep the orientation right!
