Hi Steve,

Are you the ten year old or are looking to buy an RC airplane for a 10 year old?

I guess the answer to that question would depend on whether the 10 year old plans to join a club and get help from an experienced flyer, or try to learn on their own.

A ten year old has the mental capacity/ motor skills to fly just about any RC airplane an adult can. As matter of fact, there are a lot of darn good RC pilots that are 10 years old or younger. So the age isn't really a big issue here.

The big question is how serious the 10 year old is about learning, how much money you have to spend, and whether or not you plan to get help from an experienced pilot.
