Spectacular RC Jet Crash Videos

RC turbine powered jets are not only mega expensive, they are extremely explosive.

They carry the same A1 jet fuel used by full-scale turbine powered aircraft. When these guys go down, they definitely go down with a bang!

Check out this airplane crash video of a Skymaster Rafel taken at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyne New York. Loose aileron servos mounts sent this bad boy plummeting to the ground resulting in a massive fireball. Crash and burn baby!

Maiden Voyage Crashes

Imagine spending weeks, months, or even years working out every fine detail of your new plane from the engine mounts to the details on the covering only to have it destroyed on it's maiden voyage...

That's exactly what happened to these guys of Trabuco Flyers of Southern California.

This video features the first and last flight of this beautiful C-130 airplane. And much like NASA, you can hear the guys discussing what possibly could have caused this catastrophe as they pick up the pieces...

Here is another video of an unfortunate maiden flight. This guy waited over a year to fly his new bird because he couldn't stand the thought of destroying it.

The crazy neighbor kid is really what makes this video! You have to give this pilot kudos for keeping his cool in his time of grief as the neighbor kid so innocently rubs his face in the fact that he just destroyed his once beautiful jet.

What's really cool is that the pilot picks up the pieces and patches his jet back together at the end of this airplane crash video. As he indicates, a rebuilt crashed airplane is always more fun to fly because you're not afraid of crashing anymore!

Giant Scale RC Airplane Crash Video

The bigger they are, the harder they fall! Thousands of dollars and countless hours of designing, building, and tweaking go into getting these giant airplanes in the air. It only takes a second to destroy it all!

If you're looking for giant scale airplane carnage, check out the video to the right. This is one of the largest RC airplanes I've ever seen. You can see a close up of it on the Giant Scale RC Airplanes Page.

Unfortunately the trees kind of block the view of the devastating impact, but the bellowing smoke is evidence of a spectacular explosion!

In the video to the left, two gigantic radio controlled B 17's with 12 foot wing spans take off together, but only one lands safely. The second B 17 flies into pieces as it crashes into the ground as it attempts to land.

As they pick up the pieces you probably think it's all over for that big bird. But this video has a good ending, (oxymoron, I know). The end of the video shows this B 17 in action a year later looking good as ever!

Mid Air Collisions

The most unexpected and in my opinion the most fun to watch is the RC airplane crash videos with mid air collisions. Mid air collisions are rare, but they are spectacular. Both pilots flying along and "SMACK", it's all she wrote. Scraps of balsa tumbling from the sky!
