Ultra Micro P-51 RTF and BNF

The Ultra Micro P-51 Mustang brings the war zone to your backyard!

Every serious Warbird fanatic has a P-51 Mustang in his hanger, after all it's one of the most successful fighters of WWII. But when's the last time you saw a P-51 mustang doing victory rolls in the local gymnasium? ParkZone's Ultra-Micro P-51 Mustang will do just that!

This Mustang is the second of ParkZone's Ultra Micro series of RC airplanes that utilize Spektrum's AR600 receiver and 1.5gram linear servos. The first being the Sukhoi BNF which is a huge hit, I definitely have a lot fun with mine!

Not only is the Ultra-Micro P-51 is available as a BNF, it is also available as an RTF with a ParkZone DSM2 transmitter.

The Spektrum technology inside the Ultra-Micro P-51 marks a turning point in our hobby. There have been tiny RC airplanes on the market for a while, but with limited control at relatively slow speeds. Finally, we have tiny RC airplanes that can be precisely controlled just like our "normal" size RC airplanes!

The Ultra-Micro P-51 has wingspan of 15.8 inches with an overall length of 14.3 inches weighing in at only 1.22 oz. There has never been a warbird this small with fully proportional rudder, throttle, elevator, and ailerons.

Spektrum DSM2 Technology

If you already have a Spektrum DSM2 radio, you can pick up the Ultra-Micro P-51 BNF for a very decent price considering the AR600 goes for about $60 on it's own! The BNF version comes with everything thing the RTF comes with, except the receiver. This includes a 3.7V 120mAh Li-Po cell and the DC single cell Li-Po charger.

If you don't have a DSM2 radio, now's the time to seriously consider one. Bind and Fly planes are becoming more popular every day, so if you like these types of planes you might as well break down and buy a decent Spektrum Transmitter and be done with it.

Are you not a big fan or Spektrum radios? Do you like Futaba or Airtronics better? Maybe you're just not interested in spending the money on a nice radio system right now....

If that's the case, you can pick up the Ultra-Micro P-51 RTF (which comes with a ParkZone's basic DSM2 transmitter) for only about $30 more than the BNF version.
