Try O.S.#8 plug
by: Matt

Hi Mark,

You don't live to far from me. I'm in Carrollton Ky.

Sounds like the engine may be "loading up". This means the engine is running a little rich, and the extra fuel kinda of build up while your idling, then when you punch it, it dies.

This seem to be a common problem with these Evolution Engines. I own one myself. Alot of people, including myself, have switchted to an O.S.#8 glow plug instead of the factory Super Plug. I would definitely give that a try.

Have you done the "pinch test" to make sure your not running to rich? I'm sure you have, just want to double check.

A temporary solution that sometimes works is to rev the engine really good right before you take off to burn off all the extra fuel. That will get you in the air, but then you have to worry about it loading up in the air which could lead to a dead stick landing...

Let me know how it turns out. Good luck!

Matt
